After the elevated success of Great Eastern Rock Vol. IV with over 45,000 sales, Northeast India based popular magazine The Northeast Today (TNT) is gearing up to release their 5th edition of Great Eastern Rock compilation album which is to be freely distributed along with the April ’13 edition of their magazine.
Indian progressive metal band Rectified Spirit have released the first single 'Bloodrush' from their self-titled debut album on their soundcloud page.

India's metal veterans Demonic Resurrection have launched 'The Unrelenting Design Contest' ; a contest where fans will get to submit a design for a new DR t-shirt. The band had two years ago very successfully run a cover contest via their facebook page and has now opened up this contest for their fans who have graphic design skills.

Progressive metal band Rectified Spirit announced the release of their self titled debut album on 28th December 2012. The band has now released an audio teaser for the album on their soundcloud page. The album has been recorded at Lucid Recess studios in Guwahati and mixed and mastered by Zorran Mendonsa who has worked with other Indian artists like Demonic Resurrection, Them Clones and Indus Creed.

Humor metal band Workshop, fronted by Demonstealer (Demonic Resurrection) have revealed the name, tracklist and artwork for their new album . The album titled 'Made Love To The Dragon' is being released on EMI Music India on 16th January.
