Interview with Alobo Naga & the Band

Q. First thing first, how does it feel to be such a big name in such a short span of time? How hard was it to reach here?
A. Its all about prayers, constant practice, determination , God's blessings and all these years of experience that brought us where we are now, but we still feel we haven't achieved anything yet, we have big dreams and we are still working hard like any other band to see our “Painted Dreams” come true. 

Q. When is your first EP ‘Painted Dreams’ coming out? Can you give us some details about the same?
A. Everything is done, we have been delaying a lot Just waiting for the right moment, hopefully we will do it in the month of December 2011.

Q. Now, this question is especially for Alobo Naga. You were already a famous solo artist. So, what made you start a band?
A. The thrill to be in a rock band …These guys were fun and like family..so I never wanted to play alone after jamming with these amazing guys in a show or two. I could do so much with my vocals in the kinda music we play which was limited when I was performing solo as a Pop artist.

Q. When should we expect a full length album from Alobo Naga?
A. Definitely we are coming up with our Debut album next year, but first we want people to feel and know us better by hearing a piece of cake of our music through our Debut EP “Painted Dreams”

Q. You’re already a big name on Vh1. So, any offers to play at international fests, yet?
A. Yes indeed we are getting offers for shows and gigs outside, but we want to first release our EP , do out tours in India first then think of stepping out.

Q. As a band, who do you draw your inspirations from?
A. All the members came from different genre bands, I personally am a pop artist, Akum Jams the guitarist was from a metal band, the bassist Fung Walling was into a Gospel Rock band, the present Drummer Yangkum is a drummer of a progressive rock band, the Turntablist is a famous electro house DJ back home, so personally we do have a very different taste of influence and inspirations. But as a band we do look up at bands like Incubus, Kings of Leon, The Script, 30 seconds to mars, Maroon 5 etc

Q. At last, any message for your fans?
