Q. What’s the story behind naming the band ‘The Circus’? Anshul Lall says : The name was never thought about. When we guys started practicing together for the first time, we never discussed about the name for the band. It was only when we got our first gig ever we had to sent in the name for a band, so arsh just randomly asked if “the circus” sounds good, And all of us agreed to it. And thus The Circus.
Q. First thing first, how does it feel to be such a big name in such a short span of time? How hard was it to reach here? A. Its all about prayers, constant practice, determination , God's blessings and all these years of experience that brought us where we are now, but we still feel we haven't achieved anything yet, we have big dreams and we are still working hard like any other band to see our “Painted Dreams” come true.  Q. When is your first EP ‘Painted Dreams’ coming out? Can you give us some details about the same?
Q. When was the first time you realized you wanted to make music? How did you realize the dream of starting a band? A. Amit: I wanted to make music since I was 16-17 year old. I didn’t actually start making music until I was 20, though. The dream of starting a band was realized a couple of times before it happened again with Sifar in 2008. Anshul: Dreaming to make music since my college days. About 10 years ago. Have been starting bands for last 14 years.
Q. Tell us, what’s the story behind you people getting together and starting a band? A. Arman and I(Krishna) started the band out in 2008 with Jeremy and we were a 3 piece band that just wanted to play music like Porcupine Tree. It was spacey alternative rock. Arman had been looking to jam with someone for quite a while and we met through common friends and that’s when this took off. Goddess Gagged as you know it today, was born in September of 2011, when Sid joined as the main vocalist.
